Feb. 18—Spring Township police arrested a New Jersey couple outdoors of the Ulta retailer in Broadcasting Sq. after retailer staff reported seeing them steal almost $5,000 worth of merchandise that they hid in a baby stroller, investigators reported.

Elkin Rivas Gallego and Angy D. Ramirez Linares, each 22 and of Newark, had been taken into custody Thursday evening after police responded to a name from the beauty chain retailer.

Investigators mentioned an alert went out to Ulta shops in the area after the pair dedicated a theft earlier in the day on the Ulta in Decrease Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

Staff acknowledged them after they entered the shop and contacted police.
