Mar. 4—The Lebanon Police Division arrested a number of people on drug-related fees after a search warrant was executed on Wednesday night.
Through the search, the Lebanon Police Division discovered and seized crack cocaine, a firearm and devices used for the distribution of crack cocaine. Over the previous few months, there have been a number of drug overdoses on the property.
The search of the home at 603 C.L. Manier St. was prompted by complaints by people within the neighborhood and by an incident earlier Wednesday the place a lady obtained accidents.
The incident allegedly stemmed from a drug deal gone unhealthy and left the lady with a big laceration on her arm after punching by a window.
“We intercepted that scenario and used it as a catalyst to push ahead and go forward to execute the warrant” Lebanon Police Division Public Info Officer Lt. P.J. Hardy mentioned. “We already had an open case and had been investigating it all of the whereas, however that was sort of the final straw for us.”
The Lebanon Police Division made contact with 9 people throughout the search, and a number of people had been arrested. The Lebanon Police Division has not launched the names of the people concerned.
“It has been on our checklist of nuisance properties,” Hardy mentioned. “A few of the incidents have escalated during the last couple of months, so we sort of ramped up our efforts. With it being so near a daycare and a church — not that the neighbors did not matter …everybody deserves to stay in an space that is freed from crime and medicines — it enhanced it just a little bit extra that these two locations had been close by.”
