A 35-year-old man was returning to his nonfunctioning vehicle when Delaware State Police say somebody fatally shot him west of Felton.
The Houston man, whom police haven’t named, was discovered early Monday morning in a ditch alongside a rural Kent County highway, stated Senior Cpl. Jason Hatchell, a police spokesperson.
The person’s vehicle broke down near Hopkins Cemetery and Marshyhope roads, greater than 3 miles from Felton, Hatchell stated.

The person used a close-by resident’s telephone to name for assist, Hatchell stated. He then returned to his vehicle, the place there was a confrontation and the person was shot.
He was discovered at about 12:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, by troopers despatched to the realm for a report of a topic mendacity in a ditch. He had a gunshot wound to the higher extremity, Hatchell stated.
