A suspect has been arrested and is facing a number of charges following a crash in Arizona that left two cyclists useless and 11 others injured, police introduced.
Pedro Quintana-Lujan, 26, is facing a number of charges, together with two counts of manslaughter. In response to police, Quintana-Lujan was driving a pickup truck when he crashed into a big group of bicyclists on the Cotton Lane Bridge in Goodyear, Arizona, at round 8 a.m. native time Saturday. One feminine bike owner was pronounced useless on the scene and one other died after being taken to an area hospital. Eleven others have been injured and transported to 3 separate hospitals, police mentioned. One nonetheless had life-threatening accidents as of Sunday night, Goodyear police mentioned.
Quintana-Lujan remained on the scene of the crash and was cooperating with legislation enforcement, police mentioned Saturday.
The suspect can be facing three counts of aggravated assault, 18 counts of endangerment and two counts of inflicting critical harm or loss of life by a transferring violation, in response to The Related Press.
The victims in the crash had not but been publicly recognized. One of many cyclists who was killed was a resident of Goodyear and the opposite was visiting from out of state, police mentioned.
The Cotton Lane Bridge was closed for a number of hours on Saturday whereas the crash was being investigated.
