Almost 50% of Sacramento’s violent crime happens inside seven sq. miles of the roughly 100-square mile metropolis — and the Police Department needs your help to stop it.
The areas most affected by violent crime — together with gun violence — are Mack Highway inside the southern half of the Valley Excessive space, the jap half of Oak Park and the northern space of Del Paso Heights.
To help, police are asking residents to take a 14-question survey on how to scale back gun violence.
The nameless survey, in partnership with Sacramento State College’s Institute of Social Analysis, might finish in a reward.
Door hangers with QR codes can be left at houses inside the three neighborhoods in an effort that Sacramento Police Chief Kathy Lester described as a “shared duty.”
As soon as an individual completes the survey, they are going to be entered in a raffle for an opportunity to win a $50 reward card. The survey can be open from Feb. 25 by means of March 27.
Questions needs to be directed to 916-808-0866 or [email protected].
Survey outcomes and extra suggestions, listening classes in October 2022 and a Youth Listening Session this March “can be used to develop and information the Sacramento Police Division’s future efforts.”
